VAPA This Week 5/31/22

On this last week of school, it is a blue week and truly the end of an era! 4th grade will have VAPA classes as scheduled, so please come focused and ready to show what you have learned all year. Like I always say – be brave, try hard, and have fun! The rest of the week the VAPA team will be publishing newsletters and virtual performances while upper graders partake in their end-of-year events. VAPA newsletters will be posted on our VAPA Teacher pages listed above to facilitate a family discussion on what your students learned about in music, dance, and media arts during the 4th quarter of this school year. Any virtual ‘practice performances’ showcased on these pages are examples of students making their best effort to grow in the arts. We are proud of all our RoboGriffin performers and producers! VAPA This Week 5/23/22

This is the last ‘green week’ of the school year! 😱 We will be wrapping up our primary grade lessons Tuesday through Friday, and looking back on such a fantastic year and all that we learned. Please come to VAPA classes focused, ready to learn, and be your best self.😎 Focus Groups will meet for the last time of the year on Monday, and after-school modern band club will meet Monday but not on Thursday this week. VAPA This Week 5/16/22

It’s a blue week! Focus groups are meeting on Monday, upper grades will have VAPA instruction on Tuesday through Thursday, and DI Kinder friends will have VAPA on Friday. Some practice performances will be recorded to show what we have been working on in class, so be brave and ready to do your best! VAPA This Week 5/9/22

Hey Cam Fam, this week is green, so Tuesday through Friday all our primary grades will meet at regular times. Monday all Focus Groups and Cotillion practices are running at normal times, unless your class is testing which always comes first. Modern Band after school jam club is running from 3:00-4:00 on Monday and Thursday. As we enter the 2nd week of May, many Focus Groups, clubs, and VAPA classes will be recording classroom performances to show what we have had fun learning this quarter. VAPA This Week 5/2/22

We are on a blue week, so grades 4th through 6th will receive VAPA instruction on their regular days and times. Upper graders are our Robo-role models, so please model your best line behavior when rotating through VAPA classes.✌🏼 -And come to 501 ready to jam! 😎 VAPA days are good days!

This week our Digital Arts program will begin production on the Camarena Connected podcast! Selected 5th graders who turned in their permission forms will be featured by our student-hosts after school in Room 504 on Wednesday. 🎙

Our Modern Band Jam Club is still running from 3:00-4:00 on Mondays and Thursdays throughout this month to record some epic footage as a video showcase for our VAPA YouTube channel. 🎶 🎸 🎹 🥁

VAPA This Week 4/25/22

It’s a green week, so each of our primary grades will meet on their regular VAPA day and time. Let’s be extra calm and quiet in our hallways during transitions to respect other grade levels who are testing.🤫✌🏼 Monday Focus Groups and Cotillion practices are running at normal times, but when those groups coincide with upper grade testing, testing is the 1st priority and students can attend the following week when testing is completed. This Friday 4/29 at morning announcements, in honor of our military families and students, some of our modern band groups will have a patriotic jam session to Coffey Anderson’s song Mr. Red White and Blue!🎸Some of our dance and tumbling students will perform,👯‍♀️ and Robo Reports will be live on the scene.🎤 Our students have been practicing hard for this, and it should be a blast! 😎 Many thanks to our military families for your service and the sacrifices you make for our country.🇺🇸 Lastly, take a look at our latest Robo Reports to see some of our awesome student reporting, video production, and digital music composition! VAPA This Week 4/18/22

This week is a ‘blue week’ in VAPA which means we have upper grade instruction Tuesday through Thursday and DI Kinder friends on Friday. Focus Groups, Cotillion practices, and After School Modern Band are all running at normal times. We are looking forward to seeing our students bring their best behaviors for this focused time of learning our California Arts Education Standards in creative, fun ways. See you on your VAPA Day! 😎

VAPA This Week: 4/4/22

Welcome back! We have Focus Groups Monday 4/4 for shorter meetings due to the early dismissal, so please check the schedule below for the Collins/Anderson Focus Groups. There will be no after-school jam club on 4/4, we will meet on Thursday 4/7.
